Trump Brainstorms New Appearance [1] ['This Content Is Not Subject To Review Daily Kos Staff Prior To Publication.'] Date: 2024-08-03 Hot off his immensely successful National Association of Black Journalists appearance, in a strategic move meant to build on the momentum of outreach with voters who have not engaged with him, Donald Trump made an appearance at the national chapter of the Taylor Swift Fan Club to make inroads with the youth vote. Trump steps out at another voter outreach event... "Don't worry, I've got this!", Trump assured his campaign advisors. When asked how he would handle being confronted with an unpopular viewpoint, he said: "I'll use my go-to line: I'll call them 'nasty' -it works every time, right?!" As he took the stage, the former president neglected to notice a burning garbage can he had stepped into, nor some toilet paper which had attached to his shoe. When later being told of this after his appearance, he assured his aides that the toilet paper would build on his appeal as a regular guy. And the flaming garbage can? It will show he has guts -the same way his complicity in continuing to promote the proliferation of assault and automatic weapons made him a great example of how to get needlessly shot at.
