Just call him "Trump" [1]

Over the years I have seen the names of historical individuals stricken from people’s common vocabulary — names you are not supposed to bring up in polite company. Pol Pot, Mao, Hitler, the list goes on. Harry Potter had a similar phenomenon as a plot device too. In the movie series, even though it was believed that the antagonist was dead, most of the characters made it a point that you could not say the antagonist’s name out loud (Voldemort). This gave Voldemort evil near-deity status, as though speaking his name would make him suddenly appear in the room behind you.

I have seen a similar thing happening with Donald Trump. People are so disgusted by Trump and hate him so much that they refuse to say his name or even write it. They will write out things like “TFG,” or “(t)RUMP.” As they say with bullies, this just shows them that they have gotten under your skin.

Please do not do this. Do not let Trump elicit such a pejorative reaction from you that you cannot even call him by name. Just call the guy “Trump” because that is all he is. Trump is a little fascist that is now old, out of touch, off his game, and way out of his depth — and he knows it. His panicked 2am tweets betray that he knows he has exceeded his grasp and his goose is cooked.

And even if you cannot bring yourself to type out “T-r-u-m-p,” then take a page out of our MAGA enemies’ book and come up with a demeaning nickname. Like, “Don the Con,” or something similar. Do not make him into Voldemort.

He is a fat old man that just rapes women, businesses, and is now trying to rape our democracy.

He is a sad pathetic excuse for an American, let alone a human being.

He is not some dark magical being. He is not the antichrist. He is not conservatism’s chosen Messiah that will bring upon the rapture on liberals. Do not elevate him to those things.

Let the ages turn his name to “Mudd.” www.historyextra.com/…
