I'm kinda feelin' it on Tim Walz [1]

The Veepstakes are in full swing.

While Mark Kelly has a hardcore resume, I worry about Arizona having 2 open Senate seats while we’re rooting for Ruben Gallego to help Kari Lake exit the political theatre. I understand that a good Democrat, Katie Hobbs, will name his interim replacement, but AZ is mavericky enough to elect another Republican once the interim appointment is over.

This guy, though, has been an unabashed Progressive. He’s the same age as Scott Kelly, so that’s a wash. He’s from beautiful Minnesota, which is our anchor in the Blue Wall. I strongly feel that he can reach out in Wisconsin and Michigan and make the difference there. A Pennsylvania win coupled with the Blue Wall holding puts the Electoral College firmly in Harris’ grasp.

A little Bio (Wikipedia) for y’all. Beside being a staunch defender of good policy like school lunch and daycare programs, Walz is also the highest ranked enlisted officer to ever serve in Congress. He served in the Army Reserve for 24 years, retiring as a Master Sergeant. Minnesota is the 5th ranked state economy, so he’s hard to punch on his liberal programs not being business friendly.

Minnesota is in good hands with Peggy Flanagan as the Lieutenant Governor, so I worry less about Walz being tapped for VP than Kelly. Arizona is in big flux this year: holding what we have there matters.

If you get a chance, catch some of Walz’s media appearances. He’s got excellent policy instincts, and I’m sure he’d make Trump’s lackey appear even worse on a debate stage.
