A clear read on "You Won't Have to Vote Again" [1]

Trump has always spoken cryptically, and in MAGA dog-whistles. His statement to the Christians about not needing to vote again after this year is classic Trump: vague, with ominous overtones. He knows that this kind of communication leads to hand-wringing on the left, and that the media will give him all kinds of free air-time parsing out what he means. They love that shit.

Here’s what’s clear in his statement, and what should not be overlooked: “We’ll have it fixed.”

The opportunity is clear, because Don “fixed” NOTHING during his first administration. ACA Repeal? Infrastructure Week? Trade Deficit Reduction? Colossal failure on all counts. We can also add $8 Trillion added to the Debt and the botched Covid response as more examples of his failure. The list is endless, but these are the lowlights.

It’s an easy question. “So, since you didn’t fix a damn thing in your first administration, what makes you think you deserve a do-over?”

Trump is wide-open for a takedown on the results of his administration. Rather than get caught up in his game of free earned media, let’s focus on what he did say. He’s asking for another shot, and that’s the last thing this country needs.
