Looks Like Right Wing Power Player Rebekah Mercer is Still in the Game [1]

NewsTRACS has done a nice job of identifying some of the interesting sub-networks in the right wing influence-o-sphere. Key among them is the Rockbridge Network that brings together Trump VP toadie J.D. Vance with Cambridge Analytica / Breitbart power player Rebekah Mercer, Peter Thiel, Tucker Carlson and Federalist Society SCOTUS fixer Leonard Leo along with others.

Mercer, whose father quant-genius Robert likely developed the social targeting engine used so effectively by Cambridge Analytica to put their thumb on the scale of the Brexit election and the 2016 Trump election seems to have been spooked away from active involvement in politics after his name and his hedge fund Renaissance Technologies got way more print than he felt comfortable seeing after the 2016 election. But his daughter seems to still be fully immersed in the game.

According the the NewsTRACS chart, she is a Director and Trustee of the folks bringing you Project 2025, Heritage Foundation. She is also tied up with the Co-Founders of 1789 Capital Chris Buskirk and Omeed Malik. According to a report by Forbes 1789 is building a “Parallel Economy of Anti Woke Businesses”. In addition, she is also an investor in the right wing social media app Parler.
