Christopher Wray believes shrapnel possibly grazed Trump's ear, not a bullet [1] ['This Content Is Not Subject To Review Daily Kos Staff Prior To Publication.'] Date: 2024-07-25 Fact-free living must be incredible! If the world presents an inconvenient fact, ball it up into a wad and toss it into The River Lethe of Hades. See—done in one! You can change reality to your worldview! This is a neat little trick I have witnessed in real time. As an atheist, I often engage in what I hope are civil debates. I never instigate these discussions; it is a topic I am loathe to bring up. I want people to believe what they want, whether I agree with it or not. I am, after all, a fan of Voltaire's musings. Me and Volty could hang, lol. However, there are moments in time when folks learn I am an atheist. Reactions to my views on religion have varied, but the primary one has been to challenge me to a duel in the form of a debate. Why? I don't know. If you are secure in your beliefs, you do not need to arm wrassle with mine. One man threw down the gauntlet in a loaded question about heaven and whether or not I wanted to go, “Don’t you want to see you loved ones again?” he asked. Most don’t know I was a Christian for 20 years and had read the Bible three times, cover to cover (hence why I am now an atheist, but I digress). Lazarus and the Rich Man I told them that the Bible indicates that not all our loved ones would be in heaven with us and that there would be a place in heaven where we could look down and see those we care about burning in hell. This is indicated throughout the bible but fully explored in the tale of The Rich Man and Lazarus found in Luke (16:19-31), where Lazarus is in heaven with Abraham and able to witness the rich man suffering in hell. Some spin this as a good thing—an excerpt from one article I read on the topic: Hell itself may provide a dark backdrop to God’s shining glory and unfathomable grace. Jonathan Edwards made this case, saying, “When the saints in glory, therefore, shall see the doleful state of the damned, how will this heighten their sense of the blessedness of their own state, so exceedingly different from it.” He added, “They shall see the dreadful miseries of the damned, and consider that they deserved the same misery, and that it was sovereign grace, and nothing else, which made them so much to differ from the damned.” — Eternal Perspective Ministries Yikes on bikes! Ewwwww! Our memories will be wiped clean! When I turned the question around and asked them how they could enjoy Heaven knowing that, as been indicated in the Gospels, they would be able to see loved ones burning in hell forever and ever despite the Heaven-Hell divide, he, on the spot, without a shred of evidence to back it up, said, “Well, God will wipe all our memories clean!” To which I replied, “Well crap, what would be the reason for all the damned tests on earth then if we don’t remember them—none of our earthly actions would matter at all. I also would not know or recognize my loved ones, so that point is moot. Might as well save everybody if that is the case.” That stumped him. Cheeto Jesus I say all this to hit home the fact that this is the mentality of a lot of Evangelicals and MAGA fans, which makes them easy pickings for charlatans like Trump. As soon as someone presents evidence, they will pull something out of their ass to help them keep their flawed narratives alive. The FBI is a friend until it arrives at a conclusion they hate, and then they are part of the Deep State. Senate hearings are awesome unless their guy is in the chair, and then it is a Kangaroo Court. Same with cops: Back. Dah. Blue *fist pump*—unless they want to treat minorities like human beings. On and on it goes, this reverence of strong men institutions until said institution “turns against them.” All for hanging folks from a noose unless it’s their neck in the rope. Christoper Wray believes Trump’s ear was shit by shrapnel …on Wednesday, Wray testified before the House Judiciary Committee that it is not yet certain if Trump's injury was caused by a bullet or shrapnel. "To the best of your understanding, how close did the assassin's bullet come to killing President Donald Trump?" California Rep. Kevin Kiley asked Wray. Wray replied that his understanding was that either a bullet or a piece of shrapnel "is what grazed [Trump's] ear." Later in the hearing, Rep. Jim Jordan, the committee chairman, asked Wray if all eight bullets fired by the gunman had been accounted for. "We obviously know that Mr. Comperatore lost his life…two other rally goers were injured, seriously injured, and then the one that hit President Trump. Does that account for…were some of these individuals hit multiple times?" Jordan asked. "Where did all eight bullets go, is I guess my question." Wray said he did not have that information to hand, adding: "As I said, I think with respect to former President Trump, there's some question about whether or not it's a bullet or shrapnel that hit his ear. — NEWSWEEK Fucking Jim Jordan—exasperating! So, yeah—Trump’s ear was likely hit by shrapnel according to FBI investigation, Dr Ronnie Jackon’s analysis notwithstanding, of course. We need to get Trumpy’s medical records from Butler Memorial, which likely tell the true tale, probably why Trump refuses to release them. Whatever the true facts are, MAGA is gonna milk his injury from hell to high Sunday, facts be damned. Anything, anything, to turn the tide away from Kamala to poor little Rich Dude Donnie. Many on MAGA’s side of the aisle will still claim it was a bullet because—Cover-up! How is the fact it is shrapnel and not a bullet a cover-up, exactly? I dunno. Indeed, critical thinking is not MAGA’s strong suit; in fact, intelligence has been replaced by gleeful and willful ignorance. But maybe, like water to wine, the shrapnel turned into a bullet; Trumpy is, after all, Jesus Lite 2.0. Guys, I am so glad a warrior is rising within our ranks. Whatever her belief system, she is ready to charge into battle with science, philosophy, reason, common sense, and compassion. Godspeed, Kamala, Godspeed.
