The Party uniting behind her almost instantly. A majority of the pledged convention delegates have already endorsed her, assuring her the nomination on the first ballot.

The kids who are just old enough to vote, and who were all meh about "having to choose between the Two Old Geezers" are signing up to canvass for Harris.

What a difference a day makes, eh?

If you're like me, this has been a beyond rough eight years. I watched as most of the people I loved transformed from "OMG Clinton has already won" to "OMG Donald is unstoppable and truth doesn't even matter any more", which is exactly where Republicans and other Nazis want the good people to be.

No more.

I'm verklempt. I never knew what faith I used to have in the basic goodness of the American people, until it was gone. 11/9 changed everything. I had so much pent up fear and discouragement, I was becoming numb to it.

And now, I see that good feeling starting to come back. Not just in me, but in you, and in others dear to me. The hope that God may have stepped in and saved Voldemorange's life so that he would live long enough to get his stinking, unwiped arse kicked by a Black woman.



A lot of us were complacent in 2016, thinking that someone THAT disgusting could never get popular support in a national election. I reckon we won't make that mistake again. But we also won't be too demoralized and discouraged to move. We will stand up and we will say "Ah HELL no" and we will resist tyranny and fascism. We will fight them in the safe states and in the swing states and in their states. We shall fight them in the cities and in the suburbs and in the country. We shall fight them on the beaches, we shall fight them on the landing grounds, we shall fight them in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight them in the hills. And most of all, we shall fight them in the ballot boxes.



This election is ours if and only if we do the work. There have always been more of us than there are of them, and history and right are with us.
