It’s Independence Day in the United States, but it’s also election day in the United Kingdom, where voters are choosing a new parliament. Feel free to use this thread to discuss the results.

Polls close at 10 PM local time, which is 5 PM ET. Results in each constituency are not announced until all votes in that contest have been counted. Candidates need only a plurality to win.
