Centre County Pride (Central PA) and Another Progress Centre Event Nearby to Support Rural Candidate [1]

Hi Everyone:

Coming up on June 8th, we have a lot of events happening within Central PA. I want to take a moment to highlight the importance of State College Pride (and the history of Pride Month itself) and how much it matters for folks of the LGBTQ+ community to see people supporting them for being who they are. I recommend learning more and supporting groups like Centre LGBT+ to ensure our community members feel welcomed and accepted. They are also looking for volunteers if you ever decide to get involved with next year’s events!



At State College Pride, which is happening from 10AM to 4PM, I'll be helping Central PA United set up its booth and you can come out to support them for a shift or march in the parade with them. If you want to join a grassroots movement that is working on criminal and social justice issues, I highly recommend joining Central PA United as soon as possible. For folks that are more focused on social and criminal justice issues, this is the group for you!



And onto electoral work...



Progress Centre has another event coming up in June to support of rural Democrats in Central PA! On June 8th (starting at 5:30pm), Progress Centre is hosting an event to support Denise Maris and Nick Jacobson in their campaigns for PA House! And to help them out, you can invest in their campaigns here and reserve your spots at their event! These are candidates that not only support the LGBTQ+ community, they also support your right to vote by mail, reproductive rights, and much more. Remember, for about every dollar we invest in them helps drive voter turnout so our candidates can win up and down the ballot.
