Repair, Repurpose, or Replace. [1]

Hello fellow Kossacks. Millrat here. I've been listening to a TED Talk whose title I stole. I have been an advocate of this mentality for most of my life.

I have a refrigerator in my garage that has been running since the 1940's. My profile picture of one of many antique radios I have. I inherited the mentality of many of my many New England predecessors to "wear it out and make due."

The reason I'm tapping this out has little to due with technology though.

Mrs Millrat recently exited her journey through the Odyssey of stage 4 cancer. We are both antiques now.

What both of us found troubling was women asking if I had bailed on her. Apparently it's a thing.

It shouldn't be. We started dating 45 years ago. If you choose to abandon the person you pledged to love through sickness and health then you are a horrible person. Just my humble opinion.

Keep making things.
