Trump’s Long Con [1]

Trump is raising significant money from the gullible, but is not spending real dollars on his supposed campaign. The conventional wisdom is that most of it is going to legal bills. Really?

The Brennan Center reports he paid $6 million to Chris Kise and Associates, which is working on two of his cases. In Trump’s world, that is essentially nothing and a long ways from the hundreds of millions supposedly going to legal fees.

And, as we all know, Trump stiffs everyone. When a lawyer or a plumber is no longer serving Trump’s immediate needs, the spigot gets shut off. Everyone in New York knows about “Donald Risk.”

Trump probably knows he doesn’t have many years to live. He knows his legal situation does not look good. He is not spending on his campaign in a way that could produce a win. His supposed real estate empire is a shell.

Trump may be looking to spend his final years in a tropical paradise with low taxes and no extradition treaty with the U.S., not to mention permissive laws on ditching wives and girlfriends. A good golf course may be a requirement.

Trump is obviously pulling together as much cash as he can. We don’t know what he intends to do with it, but so far funding a campaign does not seem to be a priority.

There will come a day when Trump has to decide to live the rest of his life in paradise or in hell. It won’t be a hard decision for him to make.
