Street Prophets Sunday Coffee Hour: Conversations with Pixie [1]

Welcome to Street Prophets Sunday Coffee Hour. This is an open thread so grab something to drink and sit a spell and let us know what is new with you. As you know I have a 20 year old cat named Pixie. She is very vocal. If translated I imagine our conversations might sound something like this.

Pixie: Mommy you need to do something!

Me: What now!

Pixie: Thunderstorms are coming in and they scare me.

Me: Pixie I can't do anything about the weather.

Pixie: Look I'm a Pampered Princess. You are my Mommy. That makes you the Queen Mum. Just go outside and give a royal decree to the weather for no Thunderstorms.

Pixie: Mommy help!

Me: What now?

Pixie: My head is going to fall off.

Me: Don't be silly.

Pixie: If you don't rub my chin right now my head will fall off.

Me: Sigh. (Rubs her chin)

Pixie: Mommy I'm hungry. I am nothing but skin and bones. I haven't had anything to eat in forever!

Me: You have a whole bowl full of crunchies.

Pixie: I want my wet food. I'll die if I don't get some wet food now.

Me: You are such a drama queen. (Gets up and feeds her.)

Pixie: What are you doing?

Me: Reading.

Pixie: What type of book?

Me: A mystery

Pixie: The smelly old dog did it.

Me: Come on a smelly old dog can't be the villian in all mysteries.

Pixie: Yes they can. They are in disguise.

Pixie: Hey Mommy did you know that in ancient Egypt cats were worshipped as gods? Bast was our head god.

Me: Yes Pixie I do know that.

Pixie: That's the problem with the world.

Me: What do you mean?

Pixie: They stopped worshipping us and everything started going wrong.

Me: So humans need to start worshipping cats again?

Pixie: Yes. You would be too busy taking care of us to start wars.

So there you have it. The wisdom of the Pampered Princess Pixie
