Daily Bucket: Friday Sequence, Washington Park Arboretum in Spring and some Belize 'not birds' [1]

This isn’t my typical photography. I took these photos with an iPhone — of flowers to begin with. But Ms. JG and I were so taken with the colors on our walk this morning, and I wanted to share them with you. I invite you to enjoy the photos and share some of your own.

Rhododendrons are huge

Now on to the ‘not birds’ in our recent Belize trip.

Monkeys get to nod to go first. Howler monkeys can make a loud noise.

And now for some butterflies. They weren’t very colorful, but here they are.

Euptoieta hegesia — species of butterfly

Papilio thoas — species of insect

Caligo eurilochus

And a reptile.

Green Iguana

A few more flowers — from Belize, not our local Arboretum.

App states “Golden Dewdrop” in the verbena family.

Each morning began with watching a sunrise and taking a before breakfast birding walk.
