Main points:

The startling thing about what the Supreme Court has done to help Trump avoid being tried for his most serious crimes against the Constitution before the election (if ever) is this: THE SUPREME COURT HAS SIDED WITH THE CRIMINAL AGAINST THE RULE OF LAW.

Combined with various other major decisions of the Court in recent years, one is compelled to acknowledge that this Supreme Court is now not what it is supposed to be -- an arbiter between conflicting sides in America's major conflicts -- but is an agent of one of those sides. To put it more bluntly, today the Supreme Court -- which is supposed to be a major piece in the architecture of American Democracy -- is now OCCUPIED TERRITORY UNDER THE CONTROL OF THE FORCE OF FASCISM.
