How to edit/re-edit your published DK diary [1] ['This Content Is Not Subject To Review Daily Kos Staff Prior To Publication.'] Date: 2024-04-24 If you would like to re-edit, look for the little sketch of a slanted pencil and the word EDIT: that’s the button for the author to reach the “draft layer/”draft-view of her/his/their published diary. As boxed in red below, that button is usually in the top right corner of a published diary — without the red box — but location may depend on what kind of device you’re using. (I just have a computer.) When you click on it, it gives you the “draft layer” of your diary. You’ll see the words “STATUS: PUBLISHED” in the top of the black section of the big honking black&orange toolbox in the right portion of the draft layer/draft view. Just below that, in grey-on-black print will be the current title of your diary. Make whatever changes to your diary that you wish (can change title if you like, too). Then hit SAVE DRAFT in the top/orange section of the toolbox. and then click on PUBLISH CHANGES — orange print in the white bar low in the black section. You’ll then get a request for confirmation — white box asking “Are you sure you want to publish this story now?” with choice of two buttons: Cancel if you want to wait, or PUBLISH CHANGES (white print on orange). When you’re ready, Hit PUBLISH CHANGES, and that will take you back to the published, publicly readable layer of the diary, now in changed/edited form. All diaries are pretty much infinitely re-editable! Some of my group index diaries have been re-edited hundreds of times :) [END] --- [1] Url: https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2024/4/24/2237113/-How-to-edit-re-edit-your-published-DK-diary?pm_campaign=front_page&pm_source=latest_community&pm_medium=web Published and (C) by Daily Kos Content appears here under this condition or license: Site content may be used for any purpose without permission unless otherwise specified. via Magical.Fish Gopher News Feeds: gopher://magical.fish/1/feeds/news/dailykos/
