Alternatives to time-out jail [1] ['This Content Is Not Subject To Review Daily Kos Staff Prior To Publication.'] Date: 2024-04-20 I am not sure the shaking of fingers and scolding or fines is going to educate the criminal defendant who appears to have uncontrollable conduct disorder. I believe that the defendant is unable to conform to societal norms and may most likely have one or more potentionally dangerous conditions that may prevent a fair trail. Is it possible that after the shaking of fingers, for the Nth time, that the court, in the best interests of the defendant, initiates a court-ordered psychological evaluation? From what I read in the news it may be long overdue and the neurodivergence has caused the criminal defendant much grief and legal losses by the dozens. Is our justice system fair to charged criminals or not?
