Meme Me: President Biden's super powers on display [1] ['This Content Is Not Subject To Review Daily Kos Staff Prior To Publication.'] Date: 2024-03-14 Here is batch three of my memes for people to share on social media or use in your articles or what not. This batch is to counter the media’s bias against President Biden as being somehow weak by giving him an image as a superhero. The D stands for “Democrat,” of course. First let me apologize. I am having some difficulty in posting multiple graphic memes. It makes for weird spacing in the text, so please bear with me. As some of you may know, the first memes were about Biden’s accomplishments in office that have been largely overlooked by the mainstream media other than the business section, which just goes on numbers with a pro-corporate bias but not the political bias found in the nation’s editorial departments. The second batch dealt with Trump’s convictions, which a large majority of Americans have never heard about because the lame-stream media only mentions a conviction once and thenceforth refers to them as “charges”or “indictments” instead of “convictions” or “guilt.” And in the right wing media cesspool, the words “convicted” and “guilty” have been cancelled as regards the golden turd. Biden is a political superhero Today’s post has to do with Biden’s incredible accomplishments and initiatives against seemingly insurmountable odds. The corporate media constantly depict his predecessor as being somehow heroic in his criminality, much like they once conveyed Bonnie and Clyde and Al Capone. They cynically frame his criminality as being “historic” and his successfully manipulations and delays as “prevailing” in the courts. The difference is that those common criminals were not running for office. Meanwhile, the media loves to focus on any perceived weakness of President Biden, despite the fact that he is in terrific shape for his age, has a better memory than most of his critics and had to overcome a stutter to become a public speaker. Biden is younger than the average US President in comparison to the average life expectancy of the American public. We’ve all seen video loops of Biden ending a bicycle ride by getting his foot caught in a pedal or tripping on a stair while jogging up the steps of Airforce 1. Hilarious, I’m sure — until you remember that he was riding a bike and jogging up stairs whereas his doddering predecessor is a convicted rapist and fraud who needs help walking down a handicapped ramp. Countering the media’s misrepresentations While we don’t have those kind of propaganda resources, average Americans can still use those same techniques to counter the media’s dangerous narrative and affect people directly via memes. So, here are some memes that portray the heroic nature of our current and next President and his accomplishments. Why do we repeat the image? It’s branding Brandon with a positive image, like Coke, NBC, the NY Times, etc. They don’t change their logos all the time because people imprint the image and recognize it. Why do we change the message? Two reasons, one is that people see the image repeat — but their eye is drawn to what has changed, so that’s how they absorb the key info. It’s like making a collector’s series, people can compare notes and make sure they see the whole set. “Did you see the one about women’s rights?” “Yeah, but I really liked the one about global warming!” What can you do to help? As always, please don’t just look at these, post them on FB, X, Instagram and other social media. Thanks for your help! If anyone can explain how to load more memes to a post without the weird layout glitch, that would also be helpful. And, as always, there’s more to come.
