A Warning to Young GOP Pols [1]

It may seem inappropriate to address Republican pols and pros here, but Daily Kos is read by a surprising number of Prisoners of the Beltway. A few might just read and heed.

Hey, there, young cons on the rise, been checking out the headlines? As you’ve no doubt heard, the organization formerly known as the Republican National Committee is now a wholly-owned subsidiary of the MeMeMe Org. Or maybe MeMeMePAC. The details aren’t clear yet.

This means you can expect a total of bupkis assistance in your election/reelection efforts this year because, of course, “MeMeMe.” Don’t waste your time or resources trying to coordinate efforts with the committee. It will avail you nothing.

There is a more serious reason you might want to give the “RNC” a wide berth in the future. It’s new owner has owners of his own, and they deal in treasure more dear than dollars; they deal in information, and the new proprietor of the committee will have lots of yummy bits.

In 2016, MeMeMe cried, “Russia, if you’re listening...” and Vlad’s lads hacked into the mail servers of both parties, then spilled everything from the Democrats’ server.

Whatever they found on the Republican server hasn’t been disclosed. At least to the public. Someone, it’s certain, has found something useful in the trove, something… influential. (Eh, Sen. Graham?)

With a complete turnover of senior communications and tech staff at the committee, with the shady, greedy, shameless people in Mr. Me’s orbit, with the array of ruthless despots to whom Mr. Me owes so much, starting with Mr. Putin…

Do you really think they’ll have to hack in this time?

If you’re new to this scene and your darkest secrets weren’t already hoovered up by the FSB, get your data as far away from the RNC as you can and keep it away.

It is reasonable to assume that every communication, every schedule, every receipt and contact known to the committee will be known to Mr. Me, along with whoever’s squeezing him at the moment. (It won’t have to be limited to Vlad, of course; he has lots of dictator friends).

So there’s my unsolicited advice, young ‘Pub. If you somehow have not already surrendered to the MAGANaziBorg and still want to play the game, stay away from the RNC.

Just sayin’.
