As an antidote to all the doom-and-gloom, I suggest people read Robert Hubbell’s column. He doesn’t wear rose-colored glasses, but he also is NOT falling into the soul-sucking, “T*ump is going to win and there’s nothing we can do about it” camp. Of course T*ump’s got a shot—he’s been campaigning non-stop for three interminable years.

Hubbell also provides solid suggestions for what we can and should do, mostly starting with finding our spines, and realizing it really is up to US (that’s you and me, not the country) to stop T*ump.
