Ghana- Anabel's School Pictures and My Gratitude [1] ['This Content Is Not Subject To Review Daily Kos Staff Prior To Publication.'] Date: 2024-02-21 Anabel is a little girl in Ghana who was abandoned by her mother when she was three years old. The mother later passed away. My friend John arranged for her to stay at a child care center and she has been living there for over a year now. She recently began attending their school and is now in their second level. I asked John to send me pictures of some of her school work. I thought folks might want to see what he sent so here is Anabel at school. I did want to take a minute and thank everyone who has helped with Anabel. There have been times when it looked as though we would no longer be able to keep her in the center. She has been sick several times and urgently needed medical treatment. Once she even came down with the measles, which is always dangerous (despite what RFK Jr might say). There have been other expenses as well, as there always are with a small child. And very kind people have helped. It has been almost a miracle that she has made it this far. And I do not exaggerate. And I appreciate the kind messages and the protective thoughts and prayers. I have a weak personality by nature and I get overwhelmed sometimes. A little encouragement goes a long way, believe me. Well, here are the pictures. These were taken on Monday, I believe by Anabel’s teacher. I hope you enjoy.
