Kitchen Table Kibitzing is a community series for those who wish to share part of the evening around a virtual kitchen table with kossacks who aren’t throwing pies at one another. So bring your stories, recipes, pics, music, and interesting videos, as well as links to diaries or news stories that you think this community would appreciate. Or just drop by and tell us about your weather. Newcomers may notice that many who post diaries and comments in this series already know one another to some degree, but we welcome guests at our kitchen table, and hope to make some new friends as well.

***Cherished community member in need*** Please consider sending a few bucks to help eeff as he goes thru a knee replacement and recovery. More info HERE. Thank you.

When I last posted KTK we were preparing for the ‘storms.’ They were everything they warned. Our area was without power for over 4 days. We escaped the misery with help from our fancy backup generator.

remembrance did make good use of the mini-chainsaw given to her by our real estate agent.

By the time we picked up grandma that Thursday power was back and the weather had cleared. Her rooms were completed and we had moved her furniture and boxes into her rooms. Only thing left was to build out her 15’ long by 4’ wide walk-in closet. Saturday morning I gathered up the materials to complete the project.

By Sunday night it was ready to load.

“best closet I’ve ever had.” ~ grandma

Previously on the poops of patchen pass, readers identified the fox poop found on our bedroom patio. Twice since then we’ve been awoken in the middle of the night by a fox outside the sliding glass door of our bedroom ...the last time he was at the door looking in. The cats were not happy.

This week we have a new ...and bigger pile a couple feet off the patio.
