Big Top in Florida [1]

Well, new to DK so I didn’t know exactly what ‘bucket’ to put this in. I guess it could be considered a short story but it’s actually a short song/poem (think: Home on the Range) that popped into my head one day, looking for a receptive audience. Perhaps, it’s here:

Mar-a-LagOde

Oh, give me a home, where the nut and bolts roam, / where fear and hate are at play. Where seldom is heard, an encouraging word, / and bizarre plots are hatched every day.

Home, home of the d’ranged, / where the Right and the ill-informed play. Where can always be heard a disparaging word, / against lesbians, trans and the gay.

Oh, see on the Right, ne’er a patriot in sight, / where lies always supersede right. / And never is heard, an encouraging word, / their bark much worse than their bite.

Home, home of the d’ranged, / where the weak and the meek congregate. / Where up is called down, and they’re led by a clown, / who will never be wearing the ‘Crown’.
