How The Press Lies [1] ['This Content Is Not Subject To Review Daily Kos Staff Prior To Publication.'] Date: 2024-02-03 Headline of an article on today’s CBS News website: “Tesla recalls 2.2 million cars — nearly all of its vehicles sold in the U.S. — over warning light issue.” Also at the BOTTOM of the same CBS News article: “Tesla is fixing the vehicles by releasing a free, over-the-air software update. The automaker will also mail owner notification letters starting March 30.“ As the satisfied and extremely happy owner, for years, of a Tesla 3 and a Tesla Y, this article’s headline naturally made me concerned about how inconvenient it will be to get both my cars to a repair shop to address this “recall.” I also felt this kind of problem would have a negative effect on my Tesla stock’s value, as well as cause anyone considering purchasing one of these great cars to reconsider that purchase. So, thanks news orgs for the unnecessary stress. The problem was fixed in both cars while I was SLEEPING. And please don’t bother hijacking my diary to spew Elon Musk hatred and lies about how terrible his cars are. They’re so much better than any fossil fuel burning vehicle, it’s not even a fair contest.
