Some may even see relevance in this 2019 election video for Benny Ganz as a promise

What about the West Bank?

Well: The Economist warned back in October 2023

FOR MONTHS fears have been rising in Israel and among foreign governments that a surge in violence is in the offing in the West Bank. It is the area that Palestinians view as the core of a would-be state, which for decades has been occupied and overseen by Israel’s government in tandem with the Palestinian Authority (PA), the nearest thing to a local Arab administration. It was thought that the increasing brutality shown towards Palestinians by Israelis living in settlements in the West Bank might spark an uprising, or intifada.

Haaretz warns in an editorial on the 17th of January 2024

Israel's Settler Government Is Fueling a West Bank Blowup Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu prefers to put Israel at risk rather than his government, which relies on a far-right craving for annexation, Jewish supremacy and war. This is the only conclusion that can be reached from his criminal disregard of the Israel Defense Forces' and the Shin Bet security service's repeated warnings.
