PWB Peeps Fee-line Fine Fridai [1] ['This Content Is Not Subject To Review Daily Kos Staff Prior To Publication.'] Date: 2024-01-12 Dateline front room January 1, Had no idea holidays could be so involved and did I get a education, but first... Do not troll the diary. If you hate pootie diaries, leave now. No harm, no foul. Please do share pics of your fur kids! If you have health/behavior issues with your pets, feel free to bring it to the community. Pooties are cats; Woozles are dogs. Birds... are birds! Peeps are people. Whatever happens in the outer blog STAYS in the outer blog. If you’re having “issues” with another Kossack, keep it “out there.” This is a place to relax and play; please treat it accordingly. There are some pics we never post: snakes, creepy crawlies, any and all photos that depict or encourage human cruelty toward animals. These are considered “out of bounds” and will not be tolerated. If we alert you to it, please remember that we do have phobic peeps who react strongly to them. If you keep posting banned pics...well then...the Tigress will have to take matters in hand. Or, paw. So now where was I, oh yes, from my previous residence how could I know that what goes on at the end of holidays is as eventful as they began. What activity, first yes New Year’s was great, had turkey and light gravy again oh so goooood. And calendars did hoomin ever get excited about new calendars. Sort of a fetish for her she’ll spent several hours on the web choosing just the right calendar, has to be nature orientated, seasonal and hilite autumn, especially autumn. Except the Witches Calendar, she likes folklore but doesn’t always get a new one of those, so not this year. So enthusiastic about photos and numbers, ok hoomin if that makes you happy. She says new calendars are even more exciting then the begin new month flip day. Then on New Years Day she went around pulling down old calendars, saving the favorite photos and putting up the new calendars, what a production, upstairs then downstairs, all new calendars, its a thing for me she explained. New Years Day is time to declutter hoomin explained. She then disappeared into the hall closet bringing out a small but packed to bursting box of magazine and newspapers, so many she couldn’t remember the last time the closet was cleaned out. Took several hours to straighten, stack and tie together, then out to the recycling bin. OK hoomin, all this industriousness has me impressed. Then a few days later mom starts talking about taking down the Christmas decorations, talking about how one of the new calendars called Jan 6, Epiphany, another calls it Three Kings and two don’t mention it at all. Mom further explains in some Scottish traditions all Christmas must be put away by Jan 6 or bad luck all year, so Mom took off the tree ornaments earlier and later after having it plugged in most of the night, she unplugged the tree before midnight and with one hand picked it up and put it in the box . So that’s it? That’s all? Bye Bye pretty tree see you, when, next year? Oh no, new calendar says way later this year, got it. All that work and that’s all? Ok, as long as it comes with turkey and gravy, and for this pootie its a good thing . Thanks, Mom.
