Welcome to what is the 1277th original profile here at “Fanatical Republican Extremist of the Day”, where we’ll be profiling Bob Young, who was twice elected to serve District 32 of the Ohio House of Representatives on account of defaming his Democratic opponent, Matt Shauhnessy to eke out narrow wins.We could go over his voting record for his three years in office, which we could focus on his legislative bullying of transgender kids, or perhaps point out that he was terrible on women’s rights… but let’s not bury the lede here and get to the police blotter…



On July 7, 2023, at a private party at his home following a GOP fundraiser, Bob Young was arguing loudly with a guest when his wife, Tina, held her hand up to quiet him — and he slapped her in the face (We don’t have to say “allegedly” since he eventually plead guilty). When his wife tried to get her phone to call 911, but he threw that in a pool. She then grabbed her kids and fled to his brother Michael’s house for safety, but as the sun rose the next day, Young showed up there and demanded to be let in to speak to her. His brother refused, and instead of leaving, Young lowered into his shoulder, plowed into his brother, and crashed through a glass door trying to get into the house and to his sheltered family. Police were called, and Bob Young was arrested and two days later was charged with misdemeanor domestic violence and assault. It also wasn’t the first time the cops had been called on Young for domestic abuse, having visited him back in 2020 for a similar incident (without defenstration of a sibling), but his wife refused to press charges.



Bob Young initially refused to leave office, but finally resigned in October of 2022, and after pleading guilty to both domestic assault and violating an order of protection, was sentenced a few days ago to community service, and avoided jail time, provided he makes good on the judge’s sentence, which is far lighter than he deserves.
