New Day Cafe - Stunning Saturday [1]

Good morning, dearest Newdists. Happy New Year!

Hope you all are well and keeping safe from COVID.

We are supposed to get our first snow and ice rain & huge rain event — on Saturday! And it’s going to be cold. Thus predicted. Lets see if it really happens. I’d be happy with lots of slow rain.

I find that I’m not online as much as I used to be. Since my Mum’s passing, I’ve spent more time on painting and talking to friends on zoom or on the phone, and reading books. I’ve sought out peace and shied away the loudness that comes from Xitter and the internet news scene. A friend gifted me (via Nook) Grace Draven’s Phoenix Unbound and Radiance. I was not familiar with this author before now. I like her writing. I’ve finished the first book and am now in the first section of the second one. I’d say these books are are fantasy fics, fast reads and gentle.
