Today, I am (hopefully) in a field research station on the Gulf of Mexico observing, photographing and recording Sandhill Crane behavior. I have been wanting to study those big birds for some time and have taken this first week of 2024 to fulfill that goal. For those not familiar with these huge (4 to 4.5 feet tall) animals, here is what the head of our critically endangered sub-species looks like. I hope these next songs inspire you making this first Thursday of 2024 a standard of how important each moment is and how much you can impact the world. 1:22 length . 1:37 length 4:12 length [END] --- [1] Url: https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2024/1/4/2214184/-Morning-Open-Thread-Out-of-Town?pm_campaign=front_page&pm_source=more_community&pm_medium=web Published and (C) by Daily Kos Content appears here under this condition or license: Site content may be used for any purpose without permission unless otherwise specified. via Magical.Fish Gopher News Feeds: gopher://magical.fish/1/feeds/news/dailykos/
