Rosendale explains vote to remove McCarthy [1]

NBC Montana spoke to U.S. Rep. Matt Rosendale to discuss his thoughts after he voted to oust House Speaker Kevin McCarthy.

"He violated our trust when he passed the budget ceiling deal with more Democrats then he did Republicans after, keep in mind, the Republicans got together and put together an incredible package," Rosendale said.

He also noted the decision to fire McCarthy wasn't an easy one.

"My initial reaction is it's unfortunate. I do not take any great pleasure in going through this process, but it was something that had to be done," Rosendale said.

Rosendale was one of eight Republicans who joined Democrats to approve the resolution removing McCarthy from the speakership.
