Just a point of clarity for a novice at watching House Votes [1] ['This Content Is Not Subject To Review Daily Kos Staff Prior To Publication.'] Date: 2023-12-05 Dec 05, 2023, 02:19 PM | 118th Congress, 1st Session Vote Question: On Agreeing to the Resolution Bill Title & Description:Providing for consideration of (H.R. 4468) Choice in Automobile Retail Sales Act; (H.R. 5933) DETERRENT Act; and (H.J.Res. 88) congressional disapproval relating to “Improving Income Driven Repayment for the William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan Program and the Federal Family Education Loan (FFEL) Program” Vote Type: Recorded Vote Status: Passed the way I am reading it, H. RES 903 takes the tex of H. R. 4468, H. R. 5933 and H. J. Res 88 and makes it one resolution rather than 2 bills and 1 resolution. And resolutions do not have the power of a bill...just an “opinion” more or less so actually in terms of accomplishing something, it merely let some people make a statement (ie republicans) The vote was 213 in favorite, 201 opposed.
