Hey, software developers: please fax spellcheck [1]

We all know the story: spellcheck is a nice tool but it so often inserts words we did not intend. I see it here all the time, I see it all the time in news stories.

So could the software community fax, er, fix this please? Suggestions: a little sound (a ding) when it changes the word you were typing to let you know it changed it. Second, how about highlighting all changed words in highlight yellow so that in final review, you can see all the spellcheek, er, spellcheck changes? I am not a developer, so maybe that is harder than it seems, but I hope not.
