Members of Congress are now being openly pulled into the courtroom drama? [1]

It appears that Rep. Elise Stefanik has filed an ethics complaint against Judge Engoron, in NY State. While the filed complaint doesn't appear to have any impact on the expected outcome of the trial itself, it will very likely cause all kinds of disturbances and delays while the state conducts its investigation.

Lisa Rubin, a legal analyst at MSNBC, appeared to suggest that the letter was drafted by TFG's defense team, and sent to Stefanik so that she could add her name to the filing and submit it to the state. Her reasoning was that the letter was clearly written and footnoted by a lawyer, and that Stefanik has never, to anyone's knowledge, practiced law.
