Hi beer fans, happy Friday! Come in and have a cold one with us!

I play occasionally with a German band and this untraditional piece was part of our most recent show.

European brass bands have a variety of horns that haven’t ever become popular in America; I’ve played in bands for 50 years and never seen a bass valve trombone.

I’ve got the Karl Strauss Mosaic IPA pictured at top. It won’t hurt me to finish the sixpack, but I probably won’t buy any more. At 5.5% ABV it’s not an IPA, it’s an unbalanced overhopped light-bodied pale ale. Even if you want to call it “Session IPA” it’s IMO kind of thin, though I like the flavor.

What are you drinking? Anyone brewing?
