Humbly Asking Community Help for My Father's August Parkinsons Medication [1]

I apologize for this diary in advance as I’m not sure if this is something I should do, so please forgive me if it’s inappropriate. I’ll make it as short as I can.

My father is suffering badly from the middle-stage of Parkinsons. He has been married to the same man for 17 years, but his husband is dealing with his own issue, a rare form of blood cancer, which is a separate issue, entirely. I’m writing this diary with my father sitting behind me.

Due to having terrible health insurance, even through a broker, I have been covering my father’s medications for the past year, at a cost of $492, to be exact, per month. I make most of my living as a writer, doing ghost-writing for certain screenwriters who end up with too many projects, but since the strike (which I 100% support), my own income’s fallen to a level where I could not cover his 7 different meds this month and I’ve already seen the effects of it over the last week. I’ve exhausted every avenue, but I’m simply unable to do this myself. Without his medications, he’s been immobilized, in bed for the past 5 days and his tremors have grown in intensity.

As I have nowhere else to turn, I’m basically begging the community here to help me be able to cover his medications this month, so I can give him relief. If I can reach the amount he needs of $492, I will be able to deliver his medication this afternoon or this evening.

I’m admittedly asking community help here out of desperation for my father. If anyone would be able to help in this emergency, no matter what it is, anything at all, I (and my dad) would forever be indebted. I will also share pics of the receipts and his medication in the comments, with thanks to anyone who was able to help.

If we’re blessed enough that the $492 required for his medications is met, I will let people know in the comments. More importantly, I will also refund any donation for this emergency, period, before the end of the year.
