From fiction to contemporary nonfiction to history and everything in between, any literature that touches on LGBTQ themes is welcome in this series. LGBTQ Literature posts on the last Sunday of every month at 7:30 PM EST. If you are interested in writing for the series, please send a message to Chrislove. Good evening, all. You may remember my post from last month, which put this series on hiatus for June. I had some health issues that consumed much of my month, and our aging cat (pictured above) also experienced a number of health problems that sapped away my remaining time and energy. I was optimistic about being able to produce fresh content this month, but it’s clear now that I was kidding myself. The good news is that I am doing much, much better as far as my own health is concerned. Unfortunately, however, our cat’s health continues to be a rollercoaster ride. When she’s good, she’s good—but when her issues flare up (lately, it has been a UTI that has been very difficult to treat), it causes a great deal of stress for all of us. Lately, it has felt like my entire life revolves around caring for this cat. Add to this the fact that a friend visited for a week (planned long before all of these issues started). I probably should have realized how little time and energy I’d actually have this month. Preparing these diaries is a labor of love, but it is serious labor nonetheless—I am not willing to cut corners and sacrifice quality just to churn out a diary. Next month, Clio2 will be writing for the series, so there will definitely be a diary for August. I am hopeful that, by September, my pressing personal issues will be resolved and I will be more available to fill in gaps in our schedule. I do apologize again—I felt bad about last month, and I feel even worse about this month, but my life has been a bit of a mess this summer. Thanks for your patience as I try to get my shit together. And, as always, if you would like to take one of our upcoming open dates, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me. I’m always looking for new LGBTQ Literature writers!
