NO Side Up With First TV Ad In Battle to Amend OH Constitution [1]

The battle to raise the threshold to pass a Constitutional amendment from 50 to 60% has begun on OH airwaves. The first ad is from the NO side and is linked below. It is effective and concise. The GOP legislature has called for an Aug 8 special election to make it harder to pass a constitutional amendment by raising the minimum vote needed to approve it to 60% (Issue 1). This move is a direct result of a likely amendment that will appear on the Nov ballot to ensure Womens’ Reproductive Rights in the Buckeye state. A recent poll shows Issue 1 evenly divided with 26% undecided. The side that get its voters to the polls and has the more effective ad campaign will most likely win.
