Donald Trump: This Moment Requires Sobriety Pt. II [1]

Yesterday I asked if today would be a celebratory day or a solemn day. By a vote of 80% to 20% those choosing to celebrate won the day. I will be celebrating also, but my celebration is bittersweet.

I am saddened by how many MAGA cannot handle the truth. I am troubled: So many waving the American Flag do not understand what it stands for, don’t know their fathers and ancestors fought against fascists, dictators, and communism. I am completely disappointed by Republican legislators lacking the courage leadership requires, displaying cowardice, and are surrendering to those calling for abolishing our Constitution: Donald Trump leading that call.

The fact is MAGA does not deserve their American citizenship rights. Immigrants to our country take a test to become citizens. How many MAGA could pass that test? Marjorie Taylor Greene proudly states she knows no history before 1974, the year she was born. She proved that by not knowing the Holocaust happened. She is against ANTIFA perhaps not knowing every WWII Vet was an ANTIFA.

Greene and Lauren Boebert both believe we should become a Christian nation, that there is no separation of Church and State, despite the fact the separation of Church and State is clearly written into the Bill of Rights. Immigrant Citizens know this, but Republican legislators do not. Are they fit even to be citizens let alone legislators?

Can MAGA even think for themselves to determine the truth? Perhaps we should export MAGA. How can I be happy and celebrate when our leaders are so uninformed and their followers display cult member tendencies, instead of the individual thinking a proud American citizen traditionally displays.

But I will celebrate. The death march of MAGA begins today: With Trump proceeding to the Court House where he will be arraigned. I will enjoy libations as Trump’s mugshot and fingerprints are taken. I have faith even if Judge Cannon interferes with the prosecution and frees Trump, that Trump is on the losing end of a game of Dodge Ball. More charges are coming, and one of them will strike Trump, make him powerless, MAGA rudderless, and republican politicians will be forcibly silenced as they acknowledge Trump’s unfitness for office. Yes, I will celebrate this moment. This is the moment America’s recovery begins. Yes indeed: Celebrate. Thank you Jack Smith, Thank you Merrick Garland, Thank you Joe Biden.
