Conflict resolution — to put it nicely — is where the right-wing love of guns is going.

The threat of being shot is normal and natural in a world where people are walking down the street with guns. If you run a deli and an armed customer wants to come in with no shoes or shirt, you’ll think twice about making them leave. If a cashier doesn’t give change for laundry, and a person with an assault rifle asks for laundry change, they’re going to get it.

One neighbor wants to have a huge party on a Monday night, another wants to sleep. One has a gun. They get their way.

10% of voters want the death penalty for trans people. 90% don’t. The 10% have guns.

One person wants to eat lunch here. The other person wants to eat somewhere else. The first person has a gun, the second doesn’t.

Using guns for influence is a breakdown of law and order. It’s a form of government where armed conflict takes the place of voting. Armed conflict rather than democracy is the end game.
