I printed up the top 100 songs of 1974, from here:

I marked the ones I felt I truly needed to post here, and it added up to ten.

Here we go:

Number 88:

Just too much fun. So mellow and relaxing.

Number 84:

Also fun, just great fun.

Number 79:

This is way too long, unless you need to go wash your dishes, while you let it play.

Number 72:

So nice, so mellow. The story is a sad one, but not really. The person in the story, is saying, I am not your property. I am leaving. Healthy attitude.

Number 64:

This is the song that inspired me to post the picture of the classic Mustang, at the top. In 1974, I was driving a 1966 Mustang ragtop, if I recall correctly. This is such a nice road song, makes a person feel like driving down that highway.

Number 57:

Wow. That song is almost too much for me. But it’s so great, I had to post it.

Number 45:

This man mostly recorded happy love songs. But not this one. This is a protest song, in protest of the poverty, of all too many Black Americans. Strong, droning bass track. Powerful.

Such a nice mellow love song.
