There are a lot of hurdles for us in Texas to turn it blue — i get it. One thing that always bothers me is the color code used for maps. It might seem to be a minor or trivial point — but please bear with me. There is a reason why RED is chosen for the traffic light to stop — it arrests the human eye. When people see the Texas (or any other state) with all that red, it discourages any potential Democratic voter. Note — we might be a R+8 state, but the map makes it seem it is a R+50 state. Democratic leadership in Collin county and elsewhere keep saying that people are not voting in enough numbers in Texas and elsewhere. True. But a big part of that is everyone is convinced of the futility of voting Democratic “Have you looked at the map ?”. I am sick of it. I am also bothered by this “Blue Dot in a red sea” or whatever. It is a red sea because no one lives there. Even Collin county is very sparse outside of Plano and McKinney. I wish there was a different color map … Just my 2 cents.
