I personally have no preference for keeping Iowa's caucuses. It's just that the Democratic National Committee has for many years focused for their elimination but their arguments have not won any debates. Two years ago the DNC delayed a timely response to Iowa's requested rule changes and success was hindered. The DNC tried to sabotage and discredit Iowa's caucuses of allowing ANY worthy candidate to receive consideration. The DNC has been caught putting their thumbs(hands/whole weight, ?) on the scales over the years. Donna Brazile, the former Acting Chair admitted ,belatedly, that they had favored Hillary over Bernie, now says the calendar “is going to speak to all of us, because we know that our role - - -as Democrats and as Americans is to "open doors.”. She has either "gotten religion", or is still trying to cover her posterior, and distract from the DNC's historically biased behavior. I have no idea who chose Brazile, DNC Chair Jaime Harrison (with roots in Orangeburg, S. C. & recent failed U.S. Senate campaign), to push for the earliest primary in South Carolina, or spokespersons, Mo Elleithee, Carol Fowler, and others, or Graham Wilson, general counsel to the DNC, who described their roles, saying that while the body doesn't have the power to mandate a change to state law, it does have the power to dictate the process by which it selects its presidential nominee, and elaborating; “The Supreme Court has repeatedly recognized political parties’ rights under the First Amendment to select the manner of choosing our own nominee and has in fact repeatedly invalidated state laws that limit or infringe on a party’s ability to dictate how they select their nominee”. That last statement should also discredit President Biden's legitimacy to serve as an unbiased decider ignoring his "also-ran" status in the last Iowa caucuses and his mysterious win in the Southern state's primaries, surprising many who were paying attention. Biden's team doesn't want future competition, especially from Iowa or New Hampshire, so now is logically a convenient time to ensure against it. President Biden has experience of controlling how politics happens and leaving few fingerprints. His recent lack of courage of his convictions after forgiving of student loans was without its defense. What about farm loans, business loans, deadbeat loans?. He's courting Black voters now vs. support of crime laws he helped impose on Blacks, and redefining harmful welfare rules passed in the 1990's. Just don't get holy about it or defer to "important" people! Keep the process democratic, fair, and all political parties open to influence from citizens. Only replace Iowa caucuses with something better, please! Perhaps we can get some candidates who try to represent all the citizens.
