What a difference a day made!

I started feeling irritated by MSNBC handwringing and one late viewing of CNN all gloom, finally started watching infomercials- I couldn't get to sleep, like those 50 cd boxed sets of the best of the 70’s. I am the eternal optimist. I couldn’t believe some of this good stuff the Dems are doing would be thrown out for a party that was very short of solutions. I admit, I got tired of reading it here on DKOS. Is it called fatalizing? I guess I just couldn’t believe that the sky was going to completely fall. I have a 32 year old daughter who gave up free time to call her cadre members, friends, fellow teachers- anyone who would listen to her to tell them how important it was to vote. She carried around voter reg cards and put them on her desk at school after clearing it with district, mentor and parents. She ket telling me most everyone she talked to were scared of losing choice over their bodies and intensely hated the Republicans who were stacking the courts, lying about protests BLM, “ANTIFA” all summer last summer here in Portland! She said fellow teachers worried about paying student loans deferred by covid were relieved at the relief suddenly offered. Started thinking who’s getting poll calls? Not me I usually got a few, but. I don’t answer SPAM RISK caller ID nor out or area calls selling me vacations or extended warranties or what ever. And to cut this down, I just didn't think more people would vote for some of Trump’s asses, I thought that final J6 (I’ll be so glad when Jan 6 can go back to sallym’s birthday. I do think the committee hearings were powerful. They sure shut up some of the loudest mouths. I was pissed that the Progressive Caucus rocked the boat and hope the leadership changes! I worked writing postcards for a very solid start towards gun safety here in Oregon, mostly passed in the Portland counties and the university counties — no irony there.
