How was your weekend?

I got out to the beach for a walk nice and early Sunday morning. It was beautiful but I didn't take any pictures. Some rain came in later in the day. I drove across the Bay Bridge to the East Bay for my niece's engagement party. My sister fixed up her backyard real nice under tents and umbrellas so we all stayed dry and had a good time. Damn, it was great to have a little moisture in the air and on the ground.

Today after work I walked over to Golden Gate Park with a colleague and caught a couple of hours of Flower Piano. Every year, they bring in a dozen pianos for a few days and place them around the Botanical Gardens and people can come and play them. Anyone can play sometimes throughout the day; at other times they have scheduled performances of all kinds of music. Today we listened to a really great duet with a pianist and percussionist that was dynamite. They played a mashup of jazz and classical and a little Beatles. Just great. And we heard half a dozen others, just walking around. You can get a sense of the event in this video from last year.
