How to write a story?

Damn if I know.

I’ve been here at DK for a few years now and haven’t written anything yet! How can this be, you might ask. Or not. It’s up to you.

I wasn’t much of a politics person before I joined. I mean, I followed on the news and such before my “enlightenment”. But then when I joined I wasn’t on the interwebs all that much. Then my wife bought my first iPad and I actually joined faceborg. I wasn’t there all that long, maybe 4-5 months.

That’s where I had my first brush with DK.

It was the shooting death of Michael Brown in Ferguson and the resulting upheaval. The coverage here was light years ahead of the MSM and I could not resist joining. At this point I was pretty fed up with faceborg and quit that, what I thought at the time, timesink.

After that, it’s been all up hill. My knowledge and understanding of politics grew exponentially with the diaries I read here. Top notch coverage for any subject. Right here on DK. What’s better than that?

Then, after all the facts, just the facts, sir/ madam, I found the best relief valve EVER! At least, for me. Bill in Portland Maine is a master craftsman in puns, snark and silliness. Yes, I’m talking Cheers and Jeers and the kiddie pool.

The staff writers here are the best in the business and I will let no one dissuade me!😑 I’m truly very grateful for my DK family.

Thank you all, from the bottom of my heart, staff writers and all the regular DK diarists that write these informative fact filled pieces

I think I may have skimped on praise for all the regular diarists that write amazing stories. I am now rectifying that error.

All of we regular people are what makes this place the wonderful site that it is.
