From truthout.org: Republicans Say They’ll Go After Labor Movement If They Take Control of House House Republicans are planning to launch a barrage of attacks on government institutions that administer to and support labor unions if the party takes control of the House this fall, new reporting reveals, showing that the GOP likely feels threatened by the growing labor movement that’s taken hold across the country in recent years. It’s time to stop thinking about Republicans and merely being anti-labor, and call them what they really are: pro-slavery. To be against labor rights is to endorse labor exploitation, and that is clearly to value and promote slavery. Labor is prior to and independent of capital. Capital is only the fruit of labor, and could never have existed if labor had not first existed. Labor is the superior of capital, and deserves much the higher consideration. — Abraham Lincoln, December 3, 1861 The Republican Party is now the antithesis of its original leader, President Abraham Lincoln. Indeed, slavery was one of the biggest assets of capitalism, most profitably recognized in the cotton plantations of the southern United States of America. If we look at the values of today’s republican party, we see Slavery and other forms of exploitation, domination, authoritarianism, etc. Fascism Racism Theocracy, Misogyny, Vengence, Violence and Terrorism Propaganda: Lies, Bearing False Witness, Hypocrisy, Chaos Mongering, ... Grifting, Kleptocracy, and other forms of corruption and criminality Sociopathy and other features of the Dark Triad Republicans have latently held these values for decades, but only recently have we been able to call them out for it because those values are so clearly on display and getting worse. They have often had an opportunity to turn away from Donald Trump, Trumism, and MAGA; but do not. Even when they seem unable to stomach the wretchedness of it all, they soon recover, get over it, and double down, moving forward even more boldly. However, the media, especially the left and the center, have lagged in calling out Republicans for who and what they are. This lag has only emboldened Republicans to continue to test the boundaries of what they can get away with. Not only have Republicans vowed to go after the labor movement if they take back the house, but they have also vowed to go after their other enemies, especially political enemies. They will make investigating Bill Clinton (sex scandal), and Hillary Clinton (Benghazi) look like a casual dust-up, and take on a scorched-earth attitude instead. Why do Republicans so often use the phrase “own the libs?” Because they literally, not figuratively, want to make slaves of their enemies. This is not hyperbole; this is who Republicans are beneath their righteous facade. People need to wake up and realize that Republicans have evolved into dangerous sociopaths and that America will likely go the way of Authoritarian China and the USSR, of Fascist Italy and Germany, and that a theocratic authoritarian USA will be worse than any of those because of the astonishing resources available to fuel the kind obsessive-compulsive control freaks that define the modern Republican movement.
