I had some technical issues this week which made composing this post...interesting. As a result, the pickings are a little bit slimmer than I usually like it, and it’s likely that some of the tweets I wanted to include won’t show up. I’m not sure if the issue was the fault of DKos or me, but it doesn’t much matter at this point. I’ll try to get it figured out before next Sunday. Fortunately for all of us, the intrepid band of TOTW commenters are sure to pick up the slack, as they always do. The next thing I should mention concerns the tweet from Mrs. Betty Bowers (“America’s best Christian”). The included image has a sensitive content warning on it. Go ahead and click or tap on it. The image is a bit unpleasant—it’s a headshot of a GOP Senatorial candidate—but it is not gory and has no sexual content or anything like that. If you’ve seen an image of the woman who defeated Liz Cheney in the Wyoming primary, you’ve seen this. Unpleasant, I know, but it’s nothing you would be afraid to open at work. Also, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the continuing contributions of reader jqjacobs, who regularly sends me links to really great tweets that show up in this space. TOTW is better due to their fine suggestions. If you want to alert me to some great tweets that I may have missed, please feel free to join jqjacobs in sending me a PM here on DKos. I usually check my messages towards the end of the week, and I always reply even in the rare cases where I don’t use the suggested tweet. I hope the one that jqjacobs suggested shows up here this evening—it’s a pretty good one. I’ve also included a little palate cleanser as my last tweet today. I hope you like it, although I know there will be more upbeat tweets in the comment section. Finally (and probably least importantly), I will be away when this post goes live. My biweekly trip to the county seat was unavoidably delayed, and I have to go today. I’ll read all the comments, and will enjoy all of the tweets y’all contribute, but I won’t be able to reply today. I doubt that matters a whole lot, and I know it won’t take anything from the value of the fine comments everyone makes here. Just thought I’d mention it. But enough of my yakkin’.
