Exhibit A: wherein Florida wishes to secede from the Union because of an FBI raid of the home of a former president who tried to overthrow the lawfully elected government.

This is indeed an odd midterm election where the rhetoric of secession and the trumpist cult run toward the light, because you don’t really elect anyone to public office if you really want a Civil War.

Then again, the Big Lie still has hold on about a fifth of the electorate, which is enough for a sizable grift and civil disorder.
