"to reveal the inner secrets of foreign policy" [1] ['This Content Is Not Subject To Review Daily Kos Staff Prior To Publication.', 'Backgroundurl Avatar_Large', 'Nickname', 'Joined', 'Created_At', 'Story Count', 'N_Stories', 'Comment Count', 'N_Comments', 'Popular Tags'] Date: 2022-07-07 Just a quick brain teaser. When TFG sent out his response to the fact that Pat Cipollone is going to testify to the J6 committee tomorrow he wrote: "Why would a future President of the United States want to have candid and important conversations with his White House Counsel if he thought there was even a small chance that this person, essentially acting as a 'lawyer' for the Country, may some day be brought before a partisan and openly hostile Committee in Congress, or even a fair and reasonable Committee, to reveal the inner secrets of foreign policy or other important matters," "So bad for the USA!" Normally TFG attacks the person in some way, but not this time. What struck me as odd about his statement were the words “to reveal the inner secrets of foreign policy”. What about the January 6th insurrection had anything to do with foreign policy? Could Mr. Cipollone have knowledge about something with a foreign power like Russia, in regards to January 6th or his efforts to stay in power? I would think that he would be worried about Mr. Cipollone revealing what he did in relation to the insurrection, why would he be worried about foreign policy, unless of course it simply a say “anything that sounds reasonable” distraction. I am failing to put two and two together on that one. Any thoughts?
