Sioux Falls Is a Storm Magnet [1]

Here we go again...same old shit again...

It got my maple tree!











It took The Sps and I about 10 minutes to get this branch down and off the street. I love the overhanging look, but not the lawsuit that would come when it eventually fell.



The two large branches were completely severed, but one branch was hooked to another.



I burned some calories getting them down, so silver lining. A Mother Nature workout.

I have never seen a sky that green. I do not color correct any photo or video, so if you check out my youtube of the storm right before it hit the house, know you are seeing what I saw.



Looked to me like it was trying to form a wall cloud and funnel. Storm had a history of producing spin-ups along the leading edge as it raced across the state. I have already had a weak tornado, a derecho and 2.5” inch hail come over the house in the past two months alone so why not a funnel in the green sky, right?

*sigh*

I lost some sunflowers in the storm. My corn and my tomatoes are a bit bent and tipped, yet likely to survive. We needed the rain, but only got 3/4”. I’ll take it. My 8’ bamboo stakes in the main garden? Never moved.



I am not a religious person, but I do think the universe lights up paths and gives signs.



Not sure what to make of all this? Green means go?
