Design proposals for European banknotes [1]

The European Central Bank is preparing to issue cash with a "new look" and has published its Future euro banknote design proposals: "Designers from all over Europe have reimagined how they may look like, and one of their proposals is to become the next design of the euro banknotes."

The shortlisted designs (of which there are ten) are based solely on the artist's work with the ECB providing guidelines, which presumably include the common subject matter, type design, security features and distinctive denominational colors.
